Assistance Dogs Honored at "The Fetching Ball" Event

Why do people with disabilities need Assistance Dogs?

When we think of Dogs, we don't generally think about how they enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities. The Can Do Canines Assistance Dogs have been skillfully trained to do just that.  The Can Do Canines Organization is dedicated to creating mutually beneficial partnerships so people can truly rely on their Canine Companions to help them with not only everyday tasks, but with emotional support when they need a shoulder to cry on.  Yes, we all talk to our dogs so this shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

Let's look at what an Assistance Dog can do and how The Can Do Canines Organization trains them to help people in need.

Wow, that's really fantastic!  Training these dogs takes a great deal of time and patience. We've had so many people talk to us about what it takes to train an Assistance Dog and it really is quite expensive.  But in the long run, it really is worth it because the Dog is there to be a "Life Saver" for it's companion.  For some people, it's the only way they can survive in any type of a normal fashion.

The Fetching Ball - Saturday, December 5, 2015

So this Organization is having an event known as "The Fetching Ball"  .  It's a time to celebrate the gifted Dogs at The Can Do Canines Organization.  True stories of their accomplishments and some really tender and emotional stories of how they have literally changed people's lives in a way they never imagined could happen.

So if you're in the area, please attend this Event where you can have a night of good cheer and help the Dogs being trained by bidding on their silent and live auctions.  All proceeds will go to help some fortunate, disabled people receive a trained companion totally free of charge.

Warning: Prepare to be out-dressed. The Doggie Fashion Show is back too!
